Beaches

Jaz Beach on the island of Ugljan received the international environmental certificate’s "Blue Flag" for the fifth year in a row. It is the symbol of the international standards of beach organization and equipment for beach tourism.
The coastal promenade is several hundred meters long and has lighting that complements the atmosphere of the Mediterranean during night strolls along the sea. The promenade is also enriched with a variety of flowers and perennials. For access to the sea there are access ramps for people with special needs and passage into the sea with a fence. On the beach there are two towers with a rescue service, changing cabins, chemical toilets and toilets for people with special needs.
There are also children sandboxes with swings and a slide. On the beach there is a big info panel and arranged sports playgrounds for beach volleyball and indoor soccer.
Jaz Beach is the main sandy beach in Preko town with a coastal walking trail. The capacity of the beach is 450 swimmers in the peak season and a viable number of swimmers is 250. Jaz Beach has been continuously arranged and equipped for several years to meet the Blue Flag standards.
